Hotel Block Planning Guide
A hotel room block guarantees rooms at a group rate. Most hotels require filling 80% of the block (attrition clause). If fewer rooms are booked, you may owe the difference. Book conservatively: it is better to add rooms than pay attrition penalties.
Negotiation Tips
- Ask for complimentary rooms (1 per 40-50 booked)
- Negotiate attrition down to 70-75%
- Request late checkout for the wedding party
- Ask for a hospitality suite or welcome bag delivery
