Glass Cutting Optimization
Efficient glass cutting minimizes waste and cost. Always try both orientations (portrait and landscape) of your piece on the sheet. Account for kerf (blade width) in your calculations.
Cutting Tips
- Score glass once with even pressure - do not go over the score line twice
- Always wear safety glasses when cutting and breaking glass
- Standard sheet sizes: 48x96", 48x84", 36x72"
- Plan cuts from one edge to reduce waste from odd-shaped remnants
