Saw Blade Selection Guide

  • Rip cuts (24-30 teeth): Fewer teeth, aggressive chip removal, fast cutting along the grain
  • Cross cuts (60-80 teeth): More teeth for smooth, clean cuts across the grain
  • Combination (40-50 teeth): General purpose for both rip and cross cuts
  • Plywood (80+ teeth): High tooth count minimizes splintering on veneered surfaces

Kerf Types

  • Full kerf (1/8"): Standard, more rigid, better for heavy use
  • Thin kerf (3/32"): Less waste, easier on underpowered saws
